‘Beyond: Visions of Our Solar System’ exhibit at the Air and Space Museum

May 21, 2010

“BEYOND: VISIONS
OF OUR SOLAR SYSTEM”
Wednesday, through May 2, 2011

NASA spacecraft have been snapping photographs of the cosmos for nearly 50 years; in that time, their planetary images have defined our perceptions of the universe beyond Earth’s atmosphere. In an exhibition opening Wednesday, author and filmmaker Michael Benson has combed NASA’s archives for rarely seen, breathtaking views of Jupiter’s Great Red Spot, the moons of Neptune, the molten surface of the Sun and the jagged icy sheen of Europa.
